It’s been a few episodes since I’ve stepped up to mic for a solo show and I am so excited for today’s topic. We’re going to be talking about what you need to evaluate in your business before the year ends.
I’ve mentioned a few times on the show how I’ve been able to scale my wedding stationery business from $30k to $300k in yearly revenue in just 5 years. Aside from all of the marketing strategies that we cover on the podcast, a HUGE part of my business growth is our ability to step back and evaluate. We make it a priority in our business to do a quick audit and adjust where needed every 6 months or so, so that we can constantly be operating more efficiently.
This is especially important at the end of the year, so you start of the new year fresh and on the right foot. So, as we go through some of the points today, I really want you to set aside some time before January 1st to put this into practice. Evaluating what you’re doing in your business is JUST as important to your growth (and sanity) as a killer marketing plan.
Ready to get started? Let’s dive right in:
#1 Your Calendar
– Are you batching your work?
– Are you batching your appointments?
– How many mid-week coffee dates are you saying yes to?
#2 Your Costs
– Your materials
– Your production
– Your subscriptions
… we’re going to talk about how to evaluate all of these to get your costs down for more profit in your pocket.
#3 What worked and what didn’t?
– Your lead generation
– Your content
– Your marketing, launches, promos, etc.
… I’m going to tell you to go ALL IN on what worked and say no to the rest.
#4 The direction of your life and business
– Did you set your profit goal?
– Are you clear on what you’re going to say no to?
– Or say yes to?
– Are you clear on what you’re going to go after?
– The risks you’re going to take?
– The ways you’re going to push yourself?
_______
GET clear on all of this before the calendar turns over. And, I want you to be bold enough to fight for it. Because there will be times this year and test the goals and boundaries that you’re getting right now. I can almost guarantee that.
But, we’ll fight for this together. Because a profitable, purposeful, intentional life and business is worth fighting for.
I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season and New Year. This was such a fun episode to record and I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited to step into the new year with a renewed vision. I hope you are too.
